I build the systems that make shots, and I still composite the shots.
I composite for commercials, trailers and music videos, and I build the tools that make those shots hold up: Nuke plugins, deterministic QC gates and artist-directed AI pipelines that are measured against the conventional path before they touch a frame. The work is production-tested, the numbers live on the Systems page, and the artist stays in charge of the pixel.
Slate.studio is the production tracker I founded: shots, versions, reviews and due dates for the whole show, and an inbox where every AI take lands with the prompt and model that made it. It is in free beta, and the case study shows how it is built. Its shop-floor half is the Slate Nuke plugin suite: shot loader, colour setup, frame-server cache, Card Pin, AI Patch, delivery QC and packaging, with 39 tests behind version 0.9.3, running on real jobs.

What I do
- Compositing
- Nuke. CG integration, set extension, screen and crowd replacement, cleanup, finishing for commercials, trailers and music videos.
- Systems
- Nuke plugins, headless pipelines, deterministic QC gates and benchmarks that put a number on every workflow claim before it ships.
- AI-assisted, artist-directed
- Matte generation, colour round trips and depth inside the comp, with the model, licence and data path recorded and the artist deciding the pixel.
